Taylor's IAM European Choral Tour

Hi! My name is Taylor Goebel, and I am a junior at Mater Dei High School. I am a member of our concert choir at MDHS, and recently our Band & Choir Director, Mr. Dan Klipper, selected me to be a member of the Indiana Ambassadors of Music. Being nominated for IAM is a great honor.
In June of 2016, the members of IAM will be touring seven different countries in Europe, including: England, France, Switzerland, Liechenstein, Austria, Italy, and Germany. This is the opportunity of a lifetime, and being able to go would be such an experience! By going on this tour, I will also be given the opportunity to earn three college credit hours.
In order to be selected, you must be a great leader, a kind, respectful person, you must have a good level of maturity, and most importantly, you must be musically gifted. Once again, being nominated is such an honor.
I have been singing since 2010, and each year I participate in ISSMA's solo & ensemble contest. Every year as a soloist, I have received a gold rating on my performances. In 2013, I was selected to represent my school in singing for the Bishop in an Evansville all-school mass at the Ford Center for about 7,000 people. In 2014, I tried out for the Fall Festival Amateur Hour in the senior division, and after advancing in my category each night, I won first place. In 2014, I also entered a radio contest to sing the National Anthem at the Hadi Shrine Circus; after advancing to the final eight and singing at the circus, I won the People's Choice Award for my performance. Again in 2014, I began training vocally with Dr. Gregory Rike, a music professor at the University of Evansville. In 2015, I was as finalist in the MEO Tri-State Idol which helped rasie funds for Special Education in the Evansville Diocese. As I have continued to grow on my musical gift, I have now been nominated for IAM.
