Incorporate Tail Weavers as Nonprofit

I'm passionate about Hybrid Photography (photography designed for play back on a screen like your smartphone or tablet or computer or TV) and about Pets (with doggies being my first love but all the critters are special). So combining those passions into a nonprofit organization that will nationally train basic hybrid photography skills and then match the Hybrid Photographer with pet shelters and rescues who can use the the resulting images and Tails In Motion (movie) to help the pets find homes will be a dream come true! Realizing that dream means connecting photographers and shelters/rescues who are in the same area via a sophisticated web site. It means trained and skilled hybrid photographers. All of this will take money. Money that I believe we can sustainably raise from the pet industry and pet lovers to support our work. But to get the donations, they must be tax deductible.

To allow tax deductions for donations means having a legal status called 501 c(3). To become a 501 c(3) organization we need to file papers and follow tricky legal procedures, all of which will cost about $2200. This campaign is to raise that $2200 so that we can begin the work of creating the photographer training, the web site that will house the national network of rescues/shelters and photographers, and offer advertising to the pet industry as well as donation opportunities. For the sake of the animals on the schedule to be euthanized, we can't start soon enough! My goal is to raise this initial amount in a week so that the legal work can get done.
