The Great Earthquake

I am from Katy, Texas and was recently involved in the massive Earthquake in Kathmandu, Nepal. While there, I witnessed firsthand tragedies, bodies dragged out from the rubble, and thousands of families who lost their homes. I feel like I cannot continue my travels without doing something more to help their dire needs. With that being said, they are on a shortage of tents in Nepal, especially ones that are quality made, as most of those who lost their homes will be living in these tents for months. While there are organizations and government aid out there helping the major city and surrounding villages, there is not nearly as much aid to the district of Sindhupalchok, a number of small cities on the foothills of the Himalayas where 99% of homes have collapsed. I have been in contact with a few of my friends who are native to Nepal and they have been giving me updates on the situation since I left the country about a week ago. 

By combining my knowledge of what is truly needed and getting their direct shipping address(so that these tents will be driven directly to this district that has been so impacted), I have decided to start this fundraiser. I have been doing my research on tents and what would be the best option (as I am currently in Thailand) and have found a plausible route.  I have emailed the CEO of Academy, and if all goes accordingly, I will have free shipping directly to these natives. I have set the number of the fundraiser to cover the cost of 150 tents, as I think that would be a good start, but any extra money would just increase the number in which to ship. This district along with myself would greatly appreciate any help received. Thank you,
