Save Sports Mart (Baltimore Riots)

The Sportsmart is a family owned and operated footwear and apparel business in Baltimore city which has fallen victim to the recent riots and looting.   As the pictures show, there is nothing left.  This business not only employs the family that operates it, but many others as well.  This family and its employees are now without jobs.  Furthermore, such a devastating event has threatened to close the business for good, as the financial loss is nearly unrecoverable.  This business has served Baltimore for more than 35 years.  The family that owns it has worked hard as have their employees.   It is the hope of this campaign to show this family that for all the hate and violence in the world, love and good shall still prevail.  Donations will benefit the rebuilding effort as well as the employees of the business and their families.  Please show your support.  Everyone in Baltimore wants justice for Freddie Gray, but nobody can justify the victimization of hard working Americans that have devoted their lives to Baltimore.

My name is Rob Mecca.  I myself live in the Baltimore area.  I am self employed, and rent space from the owners of Sports Mart in the very same building that was looted.    As a self employed individual, I understand how difficult it is to build a business and make a living in todays anti business climate.  I started this campaign to help The Levy Family (Owners of sports mart)  and their employees (Currently without jobs).  I will deliver donations via check directly to the Levy family so that they can help rebuild their business as they see fit.
