SLHS Cheer Medical Expenses

On Friday, April 24th 3 cheerleaders from Sierra Linda High School were in a very bad car accident. Over the past three years, I have grown to know these girls on a very personal level. As a coach, your athletes become like your children, especially when you do not have any of your own. 
The girl on the left, Jasmine Hardee, is in critical condition. She is in a medical induced a coma, and until the swelling goes down in her brain, medical professionals are unable to attend to the other internal injuries. 
The girl in the middle, Zakiyyah Elzy, is currently on life support. She was pronounced brain dead on Friday evening and will be truly missed by her teammates, friends and family. Her organs will be donated to lives that can be saved with her help. 
The girl on the right,Taijanique Turner, is in stable condition and is expected to be released from the hospital soon. She received a serious concussion and fractures to the skull; however she is in good spirits. 

The school that I work in is in a very high poverty area. The families of these girls do not have the funds to pay these medical bills, or to pay for a burial service.
