The Novgrod Family
Hi, I am Justin Novgrod and this is my family. We are a big family of six. My wife Mary and our four children Sebastian, Christian, Nikoli, BellaRose, and I. We have a special anointing on our lives to serve Jesus Christ in the mission field. Mary and I are youth pastors and have been a part of local and global mission work and leading children's church services for over 13 years. We also own and operate a Christian martial arts school where we teach students to build a strong spirit, mind, and body in Christ.
Last year we organize and planned our families mission trip to Costa Rica where we visited and served at many different missions across the country. While there we were able to visit Salvando Corazones where we taught self-Defense to the girls who have been rescued from slavery. It was such a positive experience for our family, we knew that other families would want to take part in missions like this. We are so very blessed to be able to lead our team from The Grove Church in Bryson City there to serve the children at Salvando Corzones. Where we will be creating the opportunity to serve, and continue to build a strong spirit, mind, and body in Christ.
The Experience
Trip Date: July 25th through Aug 3, 2015
Our Mission: To be Jesus’s hands and feet and go where we are needed to serve his people, so that we spread the good news about who Jesus is and how he loves us, while we grow in our own faith as we serve. We will finish construction on a school building for Saving Hearts mission: A safe house that rescues girls from slavery. We will also repair the grounds including gardening, painting and other needed maintenance on the safe house. We will engage in building healthy, meaningful relationships with the girls at the safe house and share with them a hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ. Our team will also teach multiple self-defense classes to the girls from the safe house and the local community. This will empower the girls at the safe house to have hope, stay physically fit, and build their self-confidence in who God has made them to be.
