Support for Troy Pourciau

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
Haven and I are starting this fund to bring awareness and offer support for her father and my uncle, Troy Pourciau. As many of you know, in August of 2012 Troy was diagnosed with neck cancer. Fortunately, he battled through chemotherapy, radiation and several medical surgeries and was pronounced in remission in 2013. I regret to inform you all that recently Troy's health has taken a turn for the worse and the cancer has returned. He has recently been diagnosed with metastatic cancer of the spine.

Although many of you know about his journey over the last four years, for those new to this situation, here are the details. Troy has been unable to work since October 2014. He has three daughters, two of whom are still in school. His ability to support his family has always been important to this hard working man. His current situation leaves him unable to do that. However, he knows that receiving the proper treatment will allow him to recapture some of his past life.

Metastatic cancer is a terminal cancer that is extremely painful if left untreated. The cancer basically pushes the bone marrow out of your bones and then attempts to "grow." This is impossible and so that is why it is very painful. There are drugs and treatments that can help with this pain and stem the growth of the cancer. Recently he completed 10 treatments of radiation for the cancer in his sacrum (a bone near the tailbone that supports your spine) to relieve the pain but needs further treatment to stem the cancer from spreading.
His doctor has provided possible treatment plans. As you are probably aware cancer treatments are astronomically expensive and that is why we are asking you for help.

Monetary donations, support, and prayers are encouraged. We want to give back to a person who has always given so much of himself to us and others. Continue to keep us in your prayers and share this page with others. Let's flood Troy with our love and support.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
