Sunberg Family Car Fund

My name is Renee Sunberg. My husband Ryan was just recently diagnosed with brain cancer. He underwent his second brain surgery at University Hospital in Denver, CO on January 17th of this year. His six week radiation regimen was completed in the spring. Unfortunately, since the tumor is still present, his chemotherapy treatments continue for several more months. Ryan has sustained minor, but permanent brain damage from two brain surgeries and the treatments that have followed. We have two and a half year old twin boys in this mix as well.

Here is my reason for writing. My husband now has seizures on a regular basis and can no longer drive. The responsibility to transport him back and forth to his treatments has been left up to me. We live an hour and a half away from the hospital at which he is treated. Our current vehicle is not reliable for the regular commute nor is it trustworthy as our only family vehicle.

When his surgery struck us by surprise, all our savings for a newer vehicle was drained. Our monthly budget is already stretched to pay for ongoing treatment, therefore, we do not deem it wise to enter into the monthly debt of a car payment.

The Lord has been good and has flawlessly provided for many of our financial needs as they have arrived during this period. However, our truck is on its last legs and we need your help.

Please prayerfully consider donating towards a reliable vehicle for our family of four! If this is a good deed you are willing to consider, please let me reassure you that we are a modest couple. We are not looking for bells and whistles, nor are we searching for something luxary or brand new.  There is simply a safety need for my husband and our children, and low mileage for a regular commute.
