Cambridge Verb Conference Trip

An exciting opportunity has come up for this coming summer. In July 2015, Tyndale House and Cambridge University are hosting an academic conference dedicated to the examination of the Greek verb from the perspective of syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. For the first time in a long time, scholars from linguistics, Classical studies, and New Testament studies are coming together to advance our knowledge of the language of the New Testament.
As many of your already know, my wife and I have been working hard studing the Greek language and linguistics for several years in preparation for work with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Much to our surprise, our studies have not gone unnoticed by scholars and researchers around the world.
The primary result of this is not only were Rachel and I invited to attend this exciting conference, we have both been asked to present our research at the conference: Rachel on the topic of grammatical voice in the Greek verb and I on the topic of grammatical aspect in the Greek verb.
Unfortunately, funding for the conference is quite limited and our our financial ability to take advantage of this exciting opportunity is next to nothing.
Buth with your help we hope that we can participant and make a great contribution to the advancement of knowledge and building up a better understanding of the language of the Greek New Testament.
Even a contribution of a few dollars would go a long way in helping us reach our goal--even if it were merely taking what you might have otherwise spent on coffee at Starbucks. 500 people contributing $5 each would effectively cover our airfare entirely.
Consider partnering with us. For ever $200 raised, I will be writing up a summary blog post on my academic blog (Koine Greek) about one of the papers presented at the conference up to six papers.
