Stewy's Bass Trombone Fund

Donation protected
Stewart (Stewy) Brockman is a senior at Hewitt-Trussville HS.  Stewy is a passionate musician and hopes to pursue music in college.  As such, his mother (Rachel) and father (Dave), have worked tirelessly to help Stewart purchase the instrument of his dreams, Layla, a Jupiter 1240rt Bass Trombone in a Marcus Bonna Bass case worth around $6000 (Stewart saved for over 2 years and paid half of this amount which was matched by Rachel and Dave!!) This horn replaced his 1st bass trombone which was destroyed in a rear-end collision as Stewart and his sister traveled to a home football game to march last year. :( Stewart loved Layla and was preparing his audition pieces for his college picks when she was STOLEN from the band room while he marched with the rest of the band at afternoon practice on August 27th. Yes--while he marched with his marching trombone at the band field, someone deceptively and  illegally entered the band room and TOOK HIS LAYLA!  Unfortunately, though the woman who stole his precious Layla has been identified, the horn has not been located.
As you can imagine, this heartless act of disgrace could not have come at a worse time as Stewart is preparing for one of the biggest decisions of his life.  Many friends, family, and band family members have asked how they could help, so I reached out to Dave and Rachel to see if they would allow us to try crowdfunding to help Stewy find a suitable replacement to his beloved Layla.  While hesitant, they agreed on behalf of their son and his love for music. This is a precious, loving, kindhearted family that deserves our help, so let's show them we care and help Stewy replace what was taken from him!
Rachel and Dave would like everyone to know that, while unlikely at this point, if the horn is returned/located, the funds donated will be used to set up a scholarship fund to benefit the HTHS Band and/or its players.

A little about me: I  have known the Brockman family for several years as my daughter, Ivy, and Stewart have been friends since middle school. I've served on the Band Booster board as treasurer and work with Rachel and Dave in concessions and other band events where I have come to cherish their friendship. They are such loving parents and caring individuals, I just couldn't pass up this chance to show them we, as a band family, care about them! Thank you, in advance, for any donations or prayers!
