Steve Hoyhtya's money bag STOLEN
On November 4th, 2015 Steve was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer which had spread to his liver and brain. After supporting his wife in 2014 as she battled breast cancer, Steve now has a fight of his own.
The community where Steve lives had a benefit on January 9th to raise money to help with an medical and living costs that Steve may have. Over 200 people showed up at the benefit to show Steve support and to encourage him as he goes through his battle with cancer. Steve was overjoyed with the amount of support he received from the people and businesses.
After the benefit was over, the unimaginable happened! A man who helped serve through the benefit stole a bag with a substantial amount of money! He then proceeded to the men's restroom where he then took the cash, and put the checks in the tank of a toilet. From there he went to the bar and played pull tabs with the money that he had stole!
The Police had been notified right away, and thankfully the suspect had been caught on camera! Through the photo that was posted on Facebook, the suspect had been identified and now awaiting charges!
We have made this page in hopes of recovering some of the money that had been stolen from Steve! Any amount is greatly appreciated and will be helpful.
