In the 2015 season, 24% of West Blocton Baseball Organization's (WBBO) games were canceled due to rain that left the fields unplayable.  In fact, the first two weeks of the 2015 little league season were canceled for this reason.

The estimate to fix drainage and other issues on the three fields at the complex is $28,000.  To date, approximately $19,000 has been raised for this project.

When the West Blocton Baseball Organization (WBBO) set out to build a complex in West Blocton, AL in late 2010, the goal was to provide a place where kids from the small, rural town and nearby communities could play little league baseball.  That was the goal.  However, the ballpark has evolved into so much more, hosting community events, a practice site for the local middle school and travel ball teams, and fundraisers .

Funded primarily through fundraisers, and donations and built with untold hours of volunteer labor donated by parents, grandparents, and community and business leaders, the first pitch at the three-field complex was thrown in the spring of 2012.  Since that time, approximately 195 kids, ages 3 to 12, benefit annually from the physical, social, and intellectual rewards of the game while learning the value of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship in a safe, family-friendly environment.

Please consider donating to this worthwhile cause!  With your help, we will be able to make the needed improvements to the field before the 2016 season.
