About eight months ago, my business partner and I decided to bring part of our business to Nepal. It was the first of its kind to be outsourced and we were nervous that the project would be a success.

Now, with thirty people working with us the office has been a success so far.

I promised the government that I would create 50 jobs over the course of a year and so far, there are 30 people working here with me. All of these 30 people rely on this income to support their families and homes. In nepal when you take on an employee you take on much more. You become part of their family and their family yours. Our company sends their kids to school, pays for their rent expense, and provides them with a paycheck that is usually divided between the everyone in their family group.

Unfortunately, on April 25th, a magnitude 7.5 earthquake devastated Kathmandu killing thousands of people.

Many of the staff here at StenCo Payments lost their homes and family members. We are still searching for all 30 of the staff throughout the city and have managed to locate about 15 people.

During the tragedy, we provided fresh water, living space, and open internet for people to call their loved ones. We left our batteries on as long as possible to provide charging for the phones of those in the area and hot water for those living in the fields.

In an effort to continue to help, I would like to give an extra month of salary to each person who works in the StenCo office. Additionally, we would like to provide something extra for those with families and those who lost their houses.

Because of the earthquake we are struggling to stay open, and need some funding to continue operations and employment of all 30 people. We would all be grateful if you could help us out with a small donation to provide money to continue to search for all of our staff, provide extra income for those affected, and pay for some operational costs until we are back on our feet.

We take our social responsibility in this country very seriously, and everyone has become like a family to us. Please help us rebuild the houses of our staff and continue to support  our work here.

This campaign will fund

- Two months salary for each person to help them get back on their feet

- Medical fund for injured Nepalis

- House repair fund for damaged homes

- Office repair fund so we can keep everyone here with us and continue to offer free wifi.
