Trip to Start a Farm in Ethiopia

Donation protected

My name is Jackson. I am an entrepreneur, U.S. military veteran, and reformed & enlightened intellectual. I formally used profits that I acquired from ventures, military & entrepreneurial, to travel to developing countries to spread business ideals entailing electronic currency investments. Whilst during these travels, I enjoyed mingling with the population and randomly aiding destitute individuals whenever afforded the opportunity, even if it meant offering half-eaten bread directly from my mouth to a beggar, as in the case when I was in Cali, Colombia recently. This incident moved me as the beggar was in deep awe and overly grateful as I gave him a morsel of my meal.

Prior, I considered myself a rebel playboy (a devious, machismo persona I developed immediately after my honorable discharge from the Army in 2012) spending time with various foreign women and embarking on adventures to satisfy personal desires exemplified here: instagram.com/princemajarah. Unbeknownst to me at the time, within the vicinity of my stay in these countries existed poverty and hardships suffered by my fellow human.

I now have a more profound appreciation for the accessibility of necessities to sustain life, such as food, water, shelter, and warmth, as opposed to the materialistic. Instead of malicious vehemence instigated throughout my past military experience, I now like to approach mankind with hope, understanding, and love. I can divert my eccentric personality to spread positive influence on a vast scale. Lately, I have been contemplating life; human suffering and misery should be nonexistent as we all should be offering unrequited assistance to fellow man, which would eliminate hardships. I would feel honored, but not prideful, as a human to actively enable other humans to live a healthier and enjoyable life.

I plan to use funds accrued here in the following ways:

1. plane ticket from my hometown to Ethiopia
2. Canon Vixia M40 camcorder to document my entire progress
3. purchase agricultural supplies such as seeds, rudimentary farming equipment, livestock
4. basic living expenses

Ethiopia has enormous potential for agricultural development. At present, only about 25 percent of its arable land is cultivated. I plan to arrive in Addis Ababa. There I will contact officials to inquire about beginning a farm which will be initiated thereafter. During this process, I will be living amongst the people, living a simple life while bulk ordering all inaccessible farming supplies from sources overseas. Once everything is mandated and officially given direction to proceed, I will start the farm and construct a route for most of the food to be delivered to destitute areas, such as the Village of Korah.

I know that it is possible to attain this goal with positive people, influence, and energy. I want to make this one of the most meaningful things I have accomplished in my life. One person can make a difference through others with human cohesion. Documenting this journey will be hallmark and I hope for it to inspire others to help people through direct action..
