Standing Next to God -Myles Marable

Donation protected
My name is Tracey Moore and I am a daughter, a sister, a teacher, an artist and a friend. But the roles that I take the most pride in and that fulfill me completely are being a Mom and a Granddaughter.
On November 23, 2013, my son, Myles Marable was struck by a car in New York City after dropping his cousin off to her dormitory at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).
When the EMS found Myles on the street, he had no vital signs and had to be resuscitated. Myles suffered a traumatic brain injury and a fractured right leg. He was placed in a medically induced coma at Kings County Hospital for 17 days and was in ICU for 27 days; a total of 35 days.
While leaning over him on a gurney in the emergency room, I prayed and asked God to save Myles – one time. For 86 days, I witnessed God at work moving mountains.
We eventually transferred Myles to the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation at New York University (NYU). He remained for 51 days and had to relearn how to talk, walk and do all of the everyday things many take for granted. Initially, the doctors gave us the dire prognosis that Myles would be in a coma and semi-conscious for the rest of his life.
Myles was released from the Rusk Institute on Feb 20, 2014. He continued with speech, occupational and physically therapy until October 31, 2014. On November 1, 2014, Myles was dropped off at the Brandon Hall School in Atlanta an independent, co-educational and college preparatory day school. Although Myles was not able to graduate in 2014 from Poly Prep County Day School with his class in he did however, graduate and received his high school diploma!
On January 16, 2017, Myles celebrated his 21st birthday, and I am beyond grateful to have him here with us! Myles has always been a fighter came into this world premature, weighing only 2 lbs. 1 ounce. Once again, the doctors told us that he would not survive. I know God has a plan for Myles!
Myles is our hero and inspiration! I see God in Myles! Together, along with his sister Radiance and Executive Producer Oronde Giddings, we are sharing his amazing journey back to health and life in a documentary film entitled, "Standing Next to God," with the aim of inspiring other families who are going through a traumatic, life changing situation. Although Myles is still healing he has beaten the odds and continues to move forward in his young life accomplishing goals one day at a time.
We are approaching the finish line with this film. We are seeking finishing funds to complete our film. I ask you to support our film that celebrates Myles’ journey by making a donation. We made it through with the prayers and love of all our family and friends.
Our gift to you will be a Credit on this inspirational film.
