Help STAB! Renovate and Grow

Hey everybody, Jesse here, let's break a bunch of stuff down real quick!

So, we survived. That's one. That's the main one. We came out on the other side of all of the shutdown madness still kicking. And while we had asked for a little help during all of that, I hadn't wanted to reach out again because we were back on our feet, more or less. So a couple years ago I said would be our last fundraiser, but here I am again asking for a little help to improve and "expand" STAB! to better serve the comics, the audience and the community that STAB! fosters and promotes.

I'm asking for a fairly modest amount, less than we got from our last fundraiser a couple years ago, because you know me, I don't like to ask for help, but we could use just a little boost.

What are we hoping to do with your cash? Well, that is the important part, isn't it.

Mainly, we are hoping to improve the comfort and availability of the STAB! Comedy Theater.

Our goal is to raise funds to expand our beer license so that we can provide programming LIVE IN THEATER, 7 days a week! So, you know, almost doubling the amount of time we can put on in person shows. When we initially opened, we wanted to just get our license and not cause too many waves, so we basically put restrictions on ourselves to only be able to serve Thursdays through Sundays. We were told we'd be able to come back later and just change that no problem. Then fees were added in the interim to make that change a bit more of a problem.

In addition to adding our open days, we want to improve the comfort of all when you're with us, so we have two plans for that.

Firstly, we are also asking ABC to allow us to have a patio out front where you can all drink. This is kind of a big thing, so that you don't have to put up with my shushing anymore in the lobby, and so that those in the neighborhood walking by can see people having a good time outiside the place and maybe say "Hey, I want to be a fun haver too, let's see what's worth drinking outside of over there!" For this we'll need MORE fees and the materials then to build the patio area.

And the ultimate in adding comfort to the space is that we want to FINALLY install some AC units in the lobby and theater area. For five years, we've been a little toasty in the STAB! Comedy Theater, and we're looking to fix that and could use a couple bucks to get the units and get them installed.

All of this is the first phase of improvements and renovations at STAB! and any extra cash you'd like to throw at us will go toward are next phases, inclusing new signage, physical upgrades and renovation to the facade of the building and the interiors of both the bar/lobby area and the theater.

So that's the big pitch, we're here to stay and we want to make YOUR stays with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. So if you can help at all, or let a rich uncle you know who likes to help these kinds of thing about us, any and every little bit helps!
