Dear Elk Grove Community Residents,
As Elk Grove High School Music Boosters, we host many fundraisers to continue Elk Grove High School's music program which includes Marching Band, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Color Guard, and Percussion Ensemble. With additional budget constraints, we now find it imperative to reach out to the community for additional financial assistance in order to assist funding parades, performances, competition fees, transportation costs, uniform maintenance and replacement, choreography fees, instrument and equipment repair and maintenance, music fees, and meals for the students during thier more demanding activities. Last year, in addition to annual traditions, our symphonic band performed at Carnegie Hall for the 2015 New York Wind Band Festival. This year, our students will perform field show compititions at Franklin, Del Oro, Lodi, Vintage in Napa, and the Tournamnet of Champions, as well as parade marching in the Elk Grove Veteran's Day Parade, the Elk Grove Light Parade, the Elk Grove Western Parade... and they will be marching down Main Street at Disenyland!
It is always difficult to ask neighbors for money and we realize that you probably receive many requests for donations throughout the year. We thank you for taking the time to consider our program and giving us the opportunity to share our story with you.
