Natascha's Radiation Treatment
Natascha came into our lives in April of 2007 right after my Husband's father passed away suddenly. She has gotten us through some of the utter worst times in our lives. She's always been there for us and the family. She's been the best dog.
In July of this year we started to notice some strange behavior in Natascha. Ultimately we found out that she had a brain tumor on the part of her brain that controls balance.
Our neurologist has given us two options, the first of which did not sit well with us. We have of course elected to take her to North Carolina State University for radiation therapy.
As with brain tumors they don't cause much pain and are rarely curable, however we can buy some time through the radiation therapy.
Folks have been asking how they can help us, so we decided to start this gofundme.
Here is a breakdown of some of the cost associated with this:
MRI Workup at UGA: $1865
Consultation at NCSU: $185
Induction Scans and work ups at NCSU: $900-$2000
Stereotactic Radiation Therapy: $4500-5500
Hotel Stay in NC: ~$650
Misc Travel: ~$450
If we end up with more than we need the remaining funds will be donated to Mush Rescue of Atlanta in Natascha's name.
