For those of you not familiar with Lucille's, or those who just like a good story, here's the lowdown: Lucille's is run by Caiti & Jess, two lovely weirdos with a passion for all things vintage and retro. We met in 2011, and quickly bonded over our mutual love of cool things and Elton John. We realized that between Jess's love of thrift shopping, and Caiti's remarkable sewing abilities, we could form quite a team. We began our business selling at a flea market in Brunswick, then we moved to selling mainly on Etsy and at the Portland Flea-For-All. We scrounge auctions, thrift stores, and your grandparents' basement for hidden treasures like vintage clothing, knickknacks and amazing furniture. We are ready to open a storefront, because frankly, we're driving our significant others crazy by turning our homes into workspaces (sorry, boys), and also because we think having a shop is going to allow us to show our full potential.
We have the spot all picked out - it's a great little shop in Westbrook, Maine. We just need your help to get us on our feet! Your contributions would be used to make repairs and to customize the shop to our needs, and to bulk up our inventory to fill the space. Once we're done, Lucille's will be a dreamy little space full of vintage clothing, antique furniture, handmade goods, and everything you never even knew you needed.
Any donation you can make would be greatly appreciated. We know times are tough for most people, and it is around the holidays, but... even $10 can help buy us some spackle! Seriously, everything helps, and we're immensely grateful for every little bit. We're big dreamers, and if this dream can come true, we'd be so happy we might even be speechless (and between the two of us, that doesn't happen a lot). Thank you so much!
