Hello There.
Thank You for visiting my page. I really appreciate you taking the time. I would be thrilled and honored if you would be a part of getting my first record ever to the finish line.
This project started a few years back when I reconnected with my old friend, D.W. Fearn. We had recorded together a lot back in the 70s when he owned a studio. He is now a world renowned manufacturer of tube pre amps. He mentioned that he had a small studio in his work shop and suggested that we get together and record some of my songs.
This turned into a collection of songs that has been 60 years in the making. At the age of 8 years old my father who played a little accordion and sang the Irish songs at parties decided that I should play the clarinet. That led to a lifetime of making music.
In High School, I started playing Sax and then joined or started bands for the next 60 years. I played all over the East and West coasts and points in between with both great and not so great musicians.
I wrote my first song around 1967 when I picked up my first guitar and have written several hundred songs since then. But I truly feel that I am now writing some of the best songs of my life.
So off I went to Doug Fearn’s studio/workshop with some of the finest musicians in SE Pennsylvania. Steve Nicely, Bennett Sykes and Jack Marshall to name a few. And together we recorded about 20 of my most recent songs. I have now picked a dozen of the best to include on a CD.
The recording process is now complete and in the can as they say, but there are several other costs associated with releasing this record.
They are:
• Mixing
• Mastering
• Manufacturing
• Photography
• Packaging
• Design
My $2000 goal will enable me to cover these expenses. If I am able to exceed my goal, all surplus funds will go towards promoting the record so that as many people as possible will get a copy in their hands!
RISKS AND CHALLENGES
It has taken years of singing, playing and growing to get to this point with my music and to really understand what it takes to make a record I can be proud of.
Without proper funding, this may never come together the way I am hoping for. So with that said I am scheduling the release of the album for the summer of 2015 so that there is time to recover from any setbacks that may occur.
I truly feel that with your support, I’ll be able to release a really wonderful and special record.
