I can't begin to thank everyone...
I can't begin to thank everyone enough for the amazing support being shown for the Tandel family. We reached our first goal of $1,000 on the first day and now have reached our second goal of $5,000 in our second day! I am confident we can reach our third goal and further goals as time goes on. I will be posting an update in the next few days or so about how we will be giving the family these generous donations. ALL of it will go to the family! On behalf of the entire 2010 class, THANK YOU again for of all the donations, big or small it all helps! Like I have said before, nothing will take away the pain from the loss, but we hope to keep Sheetal and Nisha's memories alive and support the Tandel family through this extremely painful time.

The Notre Dame High School
community has suffered a sudden and tragic loss of Sheetal Tandel, Class of
2010, and her sister Nisha Tandel, Class of 2006, in an automobile accident on
Highway 101 last Friday, November 23.
Nisha who was to be married in
India Janary was killed instantly. Her sister, Sheetal died Friday evening at
8:30pm at Stanford Hospital. Four other members of the family - Arvind Tandel,
his wife, Yogita, their daughters Payal, Notre Dame Class of 2008, and Ayushi,
a student at St. Dunstan School, remain hospitalized at Stanford Hospital and
Santa Clara Valley Mediclal Center in San Jose. Yogita, who suffered major
injuries, is in critical condition at Stanford Hospital. Arvind, Payal, and
Ayushi suffered moderate to minor injuries and are hospitalized at Valley
Medical Center. The family had been shopping for gifts in Gilroy to take with
them to India for Nisha's wedding.
We, the NDB Class of 2010 have
set up this donation page to create a memorial for both Nisha and
Sheetal and provide financial support for the family. The
money will be specifically used for an engraved water globe and additional
financial support to the family in their times of hardships. The Notre Dame
Belmont Knights Class of 2010 will forever be connected to Sheetal. She was
such a brightening presence in our high school experience, always beaming with
excitement and laughter. The loss of her and her sister is devastating,
shocking, and saddening. We, as a class, have come together in an effort to
celebrate Sheetal while offering financial support to her family. Sheetal, you
will always be apart of this knighthood, and we will never forget, together we
are uknighted.
Please keep Sheetal, her sister
Nisha, and the Tandel family in your prayers.
