Shaun Carrington Legacy Fund

Shaun Carrington was one of the most talented guitar players to bless the worldwide music industry.  His unexpected death has stunned his family, friends, and loved ones.

 

Shaun's love for music began when he picked up a bass guitar at the age of six.  He learned to play guitar from his father, who was taught by Shaun's grandfather.  Playing guitar in his family's gospel group, the Pentecostal Heavenly Jubilee Juniors, fostered Shaun's musical talent and special bond with his father, grandfather, siblings, and cousins.

 

Many of Shaun's acquaintances never knew he was an accomplished musician.  Even with such an impressive list of accolades, he was a notably humble individual.  Our family is extremely proud of the Shaun Carrington who has shared the stage with Chris Brown, Beyoncé, Destiny's Child, Jay-Z, P Diddy, Ciara, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Monica, Mario, Jill Scott, Leela James, Faith Evans, the late Reverend Timothy Wright, Nelly, Avant, Sumthin' 4 Tha People, and many others.  However, we are most proud that he is simply Shaun to us - our grandson, son, nephew, brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend.

 

"Family" to the Carringtons is not defined by the traditional nuclear family unit, rather as those dear to your heart who you love like blood relatives.  Everyone whom has been welcomed into the Carrington Family knows the honor of this privilege.  Holidays, birthdays, Sundays... any excuse is acceptable for the Carringtons filling a home or restaurant to gather for a meal together - even if it means waiting for hours to be seated in the restaurant section large enough to accommodate everyone.  When Shaun was around for dinner, we were guaranteed to end up laughing so hard someone would cry!

 

Shaun's father, Charles, has consistently provided an example of incredible faith, integrity, and work ethic, instilled in him by previous generations.  Shaun always hoped his four children would have as much pride in him, as he did in his own father.  No matter how busy Shaun was with his music career, which took him all over the globe, he made time with family his priority.  His children, Jeremiah, Jaxon, Naudia, and Braxton were his world!  They have all inherited his unmatched sense of humor and kind spirit.  We are incredibly fortunate to catch daily glimpses of Shaun in each of his children, which proves that he is smiling down from Heaven (while cracking jokes).  Shaun's motivation for working tirelessly was to reach the point at which his children would never "want" for anything, however his effort was halted.

 

The Shaun Carrington Legacy Fund is designed to ensure Shaun's four children are able to maintain their current lifestyles without financial burdens or hurdles.  Life will never be the same without Shaun, but his children's level of comfort and stability does not have to change.  Our hope is to pick up where Shaun left off, and continue his quest to provide the best imaginable life for his children.  Please help us remind Shaun's children that their Dad has touched many lives throughout the world.  This is for Jay, Big Head, Sweetie, and Booger.  They are Shaun's greatest legacy!  Any donation, regardless of size, is appreciated and beneficial.  If a monetary contribution is not possible, our family appreciates endless prayers, love, and emotional support.  Thank you for your generosity!
