Shara's Dance Competitions

Donation protected
My name is Chelsea LeBlanc, and my daughter, Shara, has a lot of talent.  She has been taking dance lessons for a number of years, and wants to make a career out of dance.  In June of 2014 she began taking ballroom dancing as a fun way to pass the summer.  However, she has now decided that this is the focus she needed for her dance.  She puts all of her time and energy outside of school into rehearsing and training.  We have invested all of the money we can spare after bills are paid in her lessons, as have her grandparents, and both sets of grandparents have helped her with her costumes, shoes, and other expenses.

She went to a Regional Competition in December of 2014, and not only placed first in all of her championship dances, but was also awarded the Top Junior award for the region.  We might not have been able to make that happen for her without the support of all of our friends and family who helped with the cost for the competition.  Her coaches have a three year plan for her - National Competition this November, a year of independent competitions, and a World Championship title the following year, around the time she turns 16.  Once she turns 16, she can transition into the professional category and begin her actual career, but every title she can accrue before then will help her be more successful in the long term.  I have "invested" as much as I can as a downpayment for the competition this November, and we already have the dresses, shoes, and other extra expesnses.

The competition package for November covers her transportation to and from the airport, her airfare to and from Orlando, Florida, six nights in a hotel, all of her meals, tickets to all sessions, snacks and drinks during the competition, tickets to the professional competitions, her hair and makeup services, general competitor fees, and a day at Disney World before the competition begins.  All of my expenses are separate and not a part of this fundraiser, though as her mother I will be able to share her hotel room for the stay, since she will need an escort.

This is definitely not a cheap endeavor, and every dollar anyone and can chip in will hep make this possible, and every competition will help her gain support. Even if everyone she knows were only able to chip in five dollars, that would get us a long way towards our goal, and will help her on the path to achieving her dream.
