Secret History of American River People is a journey to discover and collect the lost narratives of people who live and work on the river from the deck of a recreated shantyboat and present these stories through web-based digital archives and a touring art installation.
Right now, we are in the midst of our summer fieldwork on the Mississippi River. We are exploring the Upper Mississippi and listening to people who live and work on the river. Their stories become part of the Secret History archive.
This gofundme campaign will make up a funding shortfall that covers both contingencies on the journey and paying the artists.
