On April 5, 2015 (Easter Sunday) Jane Schimoler lost her battle with Cancer. She fought the disease with strength, courage and an amazing grace that was to be admired. The doctors told her 4 years ago that she had 3 months to live and she proved them all wrong. She fought. She did not want to leave her beautiful children without their mother after their father passed away suddenly just two years preceding Jane's death.
Heidi and Gunnar are the most beautiful blessings and they are Jane and John's legacy.
As parents, they chose to surround their children with amazing friends and a strong family bond. Now, it's up to us to wrap our arms around Heidi and Gunnar and guide them as their parents would have wanted.
Hopefully, this fund will be a way for the community, friends and family to show our support to Heidi and Gunnar by lessening the financial burdens that could come their way. It may be for school tuition, wedding expenses, baby expenses, or anything else that they would, under normal circumstances, be financially supplemented by their parents.
