Scaffel Pike Climb for NCAR

Donation protected
This climb up Scaffel Pike will be taking place on the 29th of October to raise money for the North Clwyd Animal Rescue centre who were a huge help, in rescuing our dog.

On the 14th of July, a young, female Springer Spaniel known as 'Pettles' went missing for 12 whole days in Prestatyn, North Wales. She had severe anxiety and this made everything much harder to bring the dog home. The dog would not have been found safe today ,if it wasnt for everyones efforts. The community was very positive and optimistic in helping the family bring their dog back home.

There was a mass amount of help from the public, the North Wales community and volunteers of the NCAR centre. The dog was found by 2 young girls, however, this didnt put asside the constant commitment and assistance that people gave the family, as they went through this devastating time.

Thanks to NCAR, who helped with the planning of searches both day and night, provided the traps and food for the dog, leading the family and seeked with the aid of drones to scour the area, where the dog went missing and giving them their full support 24/7.

North Clwyd Animal Rescue is a registered charity which is quickly growing and means they are now coming to care for over 1800 domestic pets a year. They have grown to meet these new demands and with the current economic situation these services are vital for the wider community. Workers are voluntary and they rely heavily on donations and from money spent at their charity shops.

The money will be used to care for rescue animals and that includes vet bills which is an important thing and brings the charity financial difficulty if they can not provide this support to animals.

The family wanted to say thank you, to the whole of the North Wales community and felt that they needed to give something back to it, as they lived so far away and didnt expect the quality of support that they recieved.

The funds will be needed by the 30th of November 2016, however donations will be available till the 5th of December which is when it will be handed over to the charity.

It will be greatly appreciated and it will make a difference to the charity and the animals. It will also help with any lost dogs in the future and will help the centre to go on, continuing to do their important and such great work.
