From an outsider's perspective, Mike and Julie Swanson appear to be just an average 26-year-old couple, but, unfortunately, they are dealing with the very real struggle of infertility. They have been married for two years and have been trying, unsuccessfully, to have a baby that entire time. Being two of the most caring, thoughtful, and selfless people, we know they will make excellent parents and deserve to fulfill their dream of having a family.
Never imagining they would fall into this category, especially at a young age, Mike and Julie are now realizing how expensive their dream is becoming. They have already spent, and are continuing to pay on, roughly $15,000 for three unsuccessful IUIs and other necessary medical procedures. Now at a point where they have exhausted other options, In Vitro Fertilization is the next step, averaging $15,000 with no guarantees.
It was no easy decision for Mike and Julie to allow us to start this campaign, but they came to the conclusion that without this their dream of a family may just not be possible. This is where we need your help. As most couples can decide they want to start a family and just let it happen, this is sadly not the case for Mike and Julie. It's amazing what can be accomplished when people come together to support each other in a time of need. Even if you can give what you consider to be a small amount, it will be a huge help. We are confident that one day Mike and Julie's family will be complete, and in the meantime we greatly appreciate any donation that you can give.
