Fair Compensation for Writers

Writers share their expertise, creativity, and talent with readers every day. They make us laugh. They make us cry. And perhaps most importantly, they make us feel less alone in this world.

Sadly, few online writers are compensated for their craft -- work that takes hours, days, and even weeks to perfect for an audience. They put themselves and their prose out there for the masses, often reaping little to nothing in return.

My aim is to change that, starting with the contributors to my humor and parenting website, Sammiches and Psych Meds .

This crowdfunding movement is a way to give back to the very people who enrich our lives daily with their words. It is a way to offer them fair compensation for the time and effort they put into entertaining us and enriching our lives. It is a way to support those who speak to us and to say "thank you for what you do."

Please join me in raising money to pay writers who pour their hearts and souls into sharing their experiences with us through their words. All proceeds will go directly to compensating writers for their submissions to the website.
