Paulines funeral and remembrance

Pauline had very little and without help will have a council assisted burial with nothing left to show she had lived. A vulnerable person with both physical and mental health issues, Pauline preferred to consider others rather than dwell on her own misfortune. She had a life of unbelievable hardship and anguish and we would like to raise funds towards providing a simple but dignified funeral for all her friends to say farewell to someone who made a big life out of so very little. Depending on what is needed money might also go towards flowers and a plaque. She was much loved especially in Lochee where she sold newspapers for many years out of a specially constructed booth! She was out in all weathers with a cheery (and cheeky!) word and smile for everyone who stopped to buy or chat.
She also became well known for her annual head shaves for charity. In 2014 she raised over £1,000 for the Edinburgh Children of Songea Trust and this year £894.60 for Marie Curie in memory of her friend. Pauline used many of the Dundee Drop In Centres but also liked to donate items to help keep the organisations going. She was also quick to criticise our culinary efforts!
Pauline was a local 'character' touching the hearts of many and her friends and all who knew her will sadly miss her cheery smile and quick wit.
Please help us to give this special lady something to mark her life by. She had promised next year to do a head shave for Macmillan so any money left will be sent directly there in her memory. Many thanks.
