Everyone has been asking me questions, so I will update as best I can.
Leona Kay Fritchman "Mom" passed away 1:00 pm Saturday April 11th 2015. She died peacefully, and surrounded by the friends she had made while in the nursing home she was in. Everyone I have encountered there has spoke highly of mom, and they all miss her and cared a great deal for her. Mom passed away in part due to complications from surgery coupled with her ongoing battle with Huntingtons. She will be missed.
Mom had requested to donate her body to the university of Utah to help in the research for Huntingtons . Due to her physical state leading to her passing, the University has declined to take her. This has put me into a situation where I'm forced to reach out in a time where we should all be able to grieve in our own way, and ask for financial help of any kind, as I was ill prepared for this. Weber county had declined to pay for moms cremation because Hillary and I are not disabled and therefore should be able to handle the financial burden. As I am not, nor is Hillary, able to handle this on our own, I have set up a trust for the Leona Kay Hodges Fritchman memorial fund, and I'm asking if any can help to please assist. The want is to raise enough to pay for the cremation and get her back to Missouri to be buried with her mom and dad, however, anything getting the cremation taken care of is priority as I cannot receive her remains until then.
The total amount is 1065.00 for the cremation. Currently 192.87 has been applied to that balance leaving 872.13 to be paid. I apologize for reaching out like this, but I don't know what else to do. Some cousins have already stepped forward and offered some assistance. I will be more than happy to keep a running tally so everyone is in the loop. The account is a Wells Fargo, and if you wish to help you can go right to a branch and deposit and have a receipt, or you can send it to me, although I would prefer it deposited strait into the account.
