Claudea's AKA GRAMMY'S Final Wishes
Claudea Johnson is my mother and she lives in Amarillo with my step dad Bobby. 17 years ago she was diagnosed with alcoholic chirrhosis and hepatitis C and given 6month to live. She didn't accept that and did her own research on how to help heal her liver and she has been able to help herself get better by watching her diet. However, now she has stage 4 lung cancer and mild dementia, this time the doctors say there is no chance of her getting better so it is not about quanity but quality of life. The Adenocarcinoma is non small cell and is in her left lung, left hip, and under her left arm now. She gets radiation but, because of the alcoholic chirrhosis and hepatitis C her liver cannot handle chemotherapy. She will have 3 weeks of radiation and then the doctors want her to look into Hospice, they believe she has less than a year. She has on her bucket list that she wants to take a trip to the mountains, she wants to go fishing, and a final trip home to Nebraska to see her family one last time. Due to an ongoing fight with the Social Security office, she does not receive any social security and only gets medicare part B. She has no money to be able to make these trips and has a ton of unpaid medical bills and a bill from the Social Security office.Any help will allow her to take her last lil trips and the rest will help with medical bills, transportation to and from Joe Harrington , our step dads missed work days, and any other expenses along the way.
