Ryan Raven's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
On April 1, 2015 Ryan Raven suffered a severe spinal injury during the Peoria Rivermen’s first playoff game of the 2014/2015 season. As he lay motionless on the Louisiana Ice Gators home ice for more than 15 minutes, it was uncertain if walking again would ever be a reality. Luckily, the Ice Gator staff and first responders were quick to get him to a local hospital and into emergency spinal cord surgery. Although it is still very uncertain whether Ryan will make a full recovery or not, he has remained in great spirits and feels truly thankful for all of the people from the Rivermen, Ice Gators, and local medical facilities that have lent a helping hand.

At the moment, Ryan is in stable condition. The goal is to continue the progress at the local hospital until he can be transferred to an acute spinal cord rehabilitation facility.

We would like to ask all of you to remain positive through this tough time. Your thoughtful words and prayers are a true inspiration to Ryan and we encourage you to continue showing your support throughout his journey. Feel free to follow his recovery on the Facebook page below. Ryan and our family sincerely appreciate any and all donations made on his behalf! #Pray4Rave
