Emergency Rent (not) Needed
Donation protected
My name is James. I live in Rancho Cordova, CA with my girlfriend and 2 other roommates. I have a physical handicap and only collect SSI, my girlfriend is currently unemployed but looking. My roommates both have a job in selling Kirby Vacuums door to door which pays in commissions. The roommates have been unable to pay their rent on time and this being the 3rd time have waited to the point that an eviction notice had been posted on our door.
One roommate had previously promised to pay the late due amount aka their share of the rent, however after finding the notice we (my girlfriend and I) learned they had not. Obviously this caused us to panic. Come to find out the roommates miscalculated horribly in their own plans and couldn't pay on time or late at all.
Personally I hate asking for money and really swallowing my pride to ask; the requested funds is equal to roughly a whole month of rent at our current apartment and I am hoping for anything to help keep my head above water while looking to move out with my girlfriend and into a place simply for myself, her and a puppy. "Worst" Case Scenario; the funds go to paying rent to buy time for house hunting and moving to go through with as little headache as possible. Best Case Scenario; minimal amount of the funds go toward rent and maybe bills, then go straight toward either Salvation Army in donations or some other charity if one is suggested.
