Run Ya Mouth Kids Edition/Help Give Back

November 2011, I, Vanesha Cooper, came up with this wonderful idea in wanting to help those with talent receive recognition. Even though I was only 18 years old at the time with no money and no job, I felt as though it was my duty because growing up, no one in my family was apart of the entertainment industry or knew anything about it. With the help and support of my family and close friends, I had my first event called Run Ya Mouth 'The Concert' in 2012.

Run Ya Mouth began as a radio show on blog talk.com in the year 2010 during my freshman year of college. Run Ya Mouth Radio just started off as a fun thing to do which soon turned into a priority for our listeners. In summer of 2011, I was recommended to intern at a radio station in Atlanta, Georgia where I learned a lot more about broadcasting hands on. In fall 2011, I became co-host of Road To Riches Radio. At that particular time, I put Run Ya Mouth Radio on hold and focused more on school, the school activities I was involved in, and worked on planning the first ever Run Ya Mouth Concert which would be held November 10, 2012. Everything worked out just as I planned; an environment with great people and amazing talent at a sold out event. Our second event, held November 9, 2013, was sold out as well with Streetz 94.5's DJ Showtime giving us the music, Ms.Juicy from The Rickey Smiley Morning Show who came to support, Epic Records (R.A.Y.D.A.R Music Group) who were looking for talent, and many more established individuals who wanted to see what all of the noise was about.

I had an amazing and successful last two years making artists feel like celebrities, and helping them build their contact list but something was missing, the children. How can I help those who have talent and the drive to be someone huge at a young age? In the same sense, I thought, why not have a Run Ya Mouth Concert Kids Edition at the Boys & Girls Club I attended as a child? Well, I am in the process of doing just that! Joseph B. Whitehead Boys & Girls Club has partnered with Run Ya Mouth Concert in allowing me to use their facility to not just showcase talent but to also give back to our community. My goal is to make this event free to the Metro Atlanta community. We want to be able to give as much as we can as in food, free haircuts, and school supplies to ensure this will be a festival to remember.

With that being said, we need your help! Help me and everyone involved give back to our kids in a positive way.
