RUNNING FOR RO:
Roseann (Ro) was severely injured during the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, with injuries that include her right leg being amputated above the knee. Her friends, some of whom were with her at last year's marathon, are running the 2014 Boston Marathon to fundraise for Roseann. For the ten people running for Roseann, this will be their first marathon ever. It will be a tremendous physical and emotional challenge for many. Roseann inspires us daily with her attitude, spirit and determination.
All collections will be donated to Team Ro, the team raising money for Roseann's prosthetic leg that she will need 5 years from now. Checks can be made payable to ServiceMaster by Gilmore and mailed to ServiceMaster by Gilmore, 350 Union Ave, Framingham MA, 01702.With your help, we can make a difference! MARIA'S STORY:
It will be one year ago in April when Maria Benway attended the Red Sox game on Marathon Monday and was shaken from what she saw and heard. The worst came the next day when she got the call that her friend Roseann had been injured. From that day on, Maria dedicated her hard work and training in hopes to run the Boston Marathon for Roseann. Ever since Maria received a bib, she and her company ServiceMaster by Gilmore have been devoted to making this experience as endurable as possible for Roseann.
SARAH'S STORY:
Sarah Friedman, ServiceMaster by Gilmore's Director of Marketing, will be running this year's Boston Marathon on behalf of Roseann as well! This is Sarah's first Boston Marathon and she hopes to raise as much money as possible for Roseann's cause.
FUNDRAISING EVENT:
In honor of Roseann, join us for an evening of dinner, dancing, continuous music from both a live band and DJ, raffle prizes, silent auction, and inspirational speech from keynote speaker TEAM HOYT.
