Running Myself Ragged For Hurricane Relief
I love New York. And I love running. So, in efforts to raise money for the American Red Cross' relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Sandy, I've decided to run for 12 hours straight (7am-7pm, Saturday November 10th) collecting pledges for each mile I manage to run. I'll be tracking my miles run with Nike (I'll be setting up that page as the week goes on), so you'll be able to see the mileage pile on!
As GoFundMe is a little limited in its donation options regarding pledges, you have two options:
1) Assume I'm totally awesome and pledge a lump sum that I'll strive to live up to.
2) Contact me (use the little "contact" widget by my profile picture there) with your pledge per mile. I'll keep a running tally here on the site, and once my run is complete on Saturday, November 10th, you can see my mileage and donate away! A little circuitous, but it's all for a good cause.
So that's all for now, look forward to more updates as the day of my ordeal draws near! Thanks!
