The Arc of Moore County has been providing support and services to people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over 60 years.
Services include respite care for family members, advocacy for self-advocates, Information and referral services for families and individuals. A family support program, First In Families of the Sandhills, is also housed within The Arc of Moore County.
A service leadership program called The Aktion Club is sponsored by The Arc and Kiwanis Club. Members must be 18 and older to participate.
Other programs sponsored by The Arc include Joyful Noise, a handbell choir and chorus which meets twice a week and is available for public performances. Also, The Book Club provides a social and educational activity for young adults.
Membership to The Arc provides a collective voice in advocacy issues and also helps us to provide the highest quality services for those seeking assistance.
Membership levels range in annual donations from $10 for a self-advocate, $25 individual, $30 family, $50 patron/business, $100 president.
