Loss of a Great Mom on Christmas

When Karen was around you couldn’t help but smile and laugh! Her sense of humor and upfront honesty was something you looked forward to being around. She had a very motherly demeanor and in one way or another always made sure you got what you needed; whether it was a telephone call or a hug, she would give it,and mean it! Her daughters have always described her as the one who was always there for them. The energy surrounding Karen was warm and contagious.

Karen began not feeling well a few days before Christmas and went to the hospital. On Christmas Eve, she went into cardiac arrest. The hospital team did everything they could but she went into multiple organ failure. She lost her fight around 5:10am on Christmas Day surrounded by her family.

She leaves behind her husband Vinny of 17 years, her daughters Amber, Brittney and her youngest daughter Laci. Karen also leaves behind two beautiful grandchildren, Lilah and Cali.

Karen adored her daughters and granddaughters! She told me recently how incredibly proud she was of all of them. Her oldest daughter, Amber, recently graduated with her nursing degree from NSU. Her daughter, Brittney, graduated from the Police Academy and has been working with a local department. Her youngest daughter, Laci, just turned 13 years old a few days before her moms passing. She is an excellent student with a kind heart who loved her mother.

Heaven has gained another beautiful angel that will look over her family and friends in peace.

All funds raised will go towards funeral costs and any additional funds will go towards Laci’s College.
