Hello everyone! Thank You for stopping by my personal fundraising site to help me move forward in health and finances.
I had the once in the lifetime opportunity October 2014 to head back home to Maui, Hawaii to visit family, haul all of my photo organizing and photo scanning equipment to scan personal and family photos and memoribilia, but most important reason, was to celebrate my grandfather's 100th Centennial Birthday.

During my month long trip I experienced joy that I was back with family, but I also experienced pain. It was the night of 11/17/2014, while doing archival photo scanning of my grandmother's old printed photographs that I was instantly aware that the left side of my face became extremely numb. I stepped away from my scanning duties and was very aware of what was happening and with the health knowledge I have, I asked myself, "Am I having a stroke?" That thought had me concerned, but I also told myself that it's nothing serious. So I tried to sleep it off...
I woke up early the next morning (11/18/2014) with the same feeling, but the numbness had elevated. I tried tapping my face and could not feel anything. I frantically searched online for a local doctor that could take me in immediately but I had no success. I was told to go the ER. I was grateful that my youngest brother did not work that day and was able to take me to the emergency room right away.
Blood pressure was high, but I didn't feel stressed out. My heart beating really fast, but I was rested. CT Scan was ordered, nothing was found. I was discharged 4 hours later with not a single information on how to get better, except..."Take it easy."
Being recently self-employed with a start-up company and no health insurance, I finally got 3 separate bills (Doctor, Hospital, & Radiology)
I still experience the same symptoms till this day and will be seeing a doctor for a full physical once I have health insurance.
