Study fund.

I am a Buddhist monk who returned to Wales a few months ago to help my family to care for my dad during the last few months of his life.  Since returning, I have began to establish a Buddhist centre here in Wales which has been received with GREAT enthusiasm and interest by a wide range of people, all interested in learning to meditate and find some peace in the often hectic, troubled lives. I am very excited about the future here and look forward to being of benefit to others as I help them to find the incredible freedom, profound peace and happiness that comes from self knowledge. All made possible through the application of the Buddhas teachings in our daily lives and through meditation., the tool he recommended.  I know, from experience, the validity of Buddhas teachings and look forward to being able to help the people of Wales, young and old, regardless of race, gender, religious conviction, sexual orientation or social standing.  Firstly however, in order to have enough experiential knowledge and insight into the human mind and condition, I need to return to my teacher in Thailand to complete my studies, practice and training. As a monk I receive no income and depend solely on the help of lay-supporters for my daily food and other prerequisites.  I also have no posessions except for my robes, alms bowl and the few things permitted to an ordained Buddhist monk. Ordinarily in Thailand, the monks travel expenses would be paid by the temple through donaations but as I came to Wales indipendantly to care for my dad, and as we have no Theravada Buddhist temple in my home country, I have no financial support and therefore, no funding to return to complete my studies. 
The teachings of the Buddha are incredibly liberating, non-dogmatic, psychologically sound and experiential and my desire is to help as many as possible to find lasting happiness and freedom from suffering.
