Special Education for Ella

Ella O’Brien was born in 2005 with a life-threatening heart defect and global developmental delays. Despite these cardiac problems, she survived her early years but today suffers from speech, vision and hearing problems. She also suffers from physical and orthopedic problems, making running and playing with children her own age difficult. Academically, she is several years behind her peers. Her mother, Suzanne Yates O’Brien, recently died of brain cancer (Glioblastoma) at the age of 43 and would have loved to see Ella thrive with the right schooling and therapy. Funds donated here  will go directly to offset the costs of her education at Vanguard Preparatory School of Dallas and ongoing physical and speech therapy in the coming years.
