Reunite CSU Mother with children

Donation protected

Hanan Isweiri, a mother of four, studies at Colorado State University. The new executive order is currently keeping her Libyan citizen, from returning to her three children, husband and school.

Hanan didn’t visited her home country, Libya, within the last 6 years. Earlier this month, she returned with her 13-month-old son, Tameem, to attend her father’s funeral. Her family had not yet had the chance to meet the youngest of her four children.

Isweiri is a Ph.D. candidate at Colorado State University, and is preparing to defend her thesis on plant physiology in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture in early March.

But for the last three days, Isweiri and little Tameem have been stranded in Amman, Jordan. She was unable to board her flight to the U.S due to the executive order that prevents nationals from certain countries to return to the U.S.

Isweiri’s husband is working with the CSU Office of International Programs to help his wife return back to Fort Collins and reunite with her family.

Isweiri and her son, Tameem, have been deported back to Libya from Amman Airport. They’ve been there for more than 72 hours without a visa.

While trying to keep in touch with her husband, Isweiri kept the truth from her three little children in the U.S as she is worries about their wellbeing and their reaction to such incident.

“I couldn’t talk to my kids, they don’t know the whole story,” she says. “I thought if I talk to them, I’ll cry.”

Our Dream:

We would ask you all to empathize with Isweiri and collaborate together to support the CSU international Ram. We would love some help from our friends, family and community members to help lessen the burden brought on by the most important expenses for bringing Hanan to America.

Expenses:

These expenses for bringing Hanan back to her children.
Her children’s expenses who are in the U.S which includes; food, transportation, school expenses, and medical.
