Dr. Rose Davidson Legacy Fund BRHS

Donation protected
Humans and animals alike have received unparalleled love from Rose Minahan Davidson and now we have the chance to return that love through a legacy fund for the Brookings Regional Humane Society.  Rose is an angel among us.  Simply said, the world is better for having Rose in it.

As many know, Rose started the Brookings Regional Humane Society, and volunteered with RAVS (Rural Area Veterinarian Society program) and holds her own clinics providing vet care to community members and pets on South Dakota's American Indian Reservations.

Dr. Rose, as she is best known by her humane society spay/neuter clinic team, is currently receiving hospice care at her Brookings home surrounded by good friends and family.  We want to honor Dr. Rose by supporting this legacy fund that will continue to fund the veterinary programs of the Brookings Regional Humane Society.

To the less furry in her life, Rose serves as a wife, mother, friend, and support system.  She has a way of making those around her feel better about themselves and the world at large.

Rose was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at age 6.  Her older and oldest sibling, Janine, was diagnosed with CF at the same time as Rose, and passed in the mid 70's. The oldest Minihan son, Mike, passed roughly 10 years ago...due to CF.

"I first met Rose when she and fellow vet, Jill (Hyland) Ayres were beginning their partnership at Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital. From that day forward, it was evident that those two dedicated professionals would be highly successful because of their shared love for animals and the human race. The time and care they took to work with the pets and owners was incredible.

Rose’s continued volunteer work and involvement giving back to her community and surrounding areas made an incredible impact on countless lives. Much of her work was taken for granted, but without a doubt, she provided positive results wherever she contributed. There just are not enough Roses in the world.

It is my sincere hope that my small recognition will be the start of a huge success story that will carry on her efforts for many years to come. " - Larry
