NEPAL EARTHQUAKE RELIEF.

A CALL FOR ACTION: HELP SEED NEPAL'S FUTURE INFRASTRUCTURE!

Imagine that one day you could not get to work, attend your child’s sports game, or visit your parents home. Infrastructure is the foundation of all connectedness.

Friends--

We need your help.

We are no longer strangers to what has happened in Nepal in April 2015. You have read the news and know that things are really bad. And, as the story continues to unfold, we know things are going to get worse.

Millions have lost their homes. Thousands have lost their lives and loved ones. In addition to the human toll and suffering, an incredible dimension to this tragedy is the immense loss of ancient art and architecture. They were a big part of not only our culture and heritage, but also people's daily lives. Children will now grow up never knowing what the ethereally beautiful Kathmandu/Nepal we grew up in was like. We are all deeply saddened by this.

Infrastructure that was already crumbling is now in rubbles. The damage is significant, and the rebuilding efforts will need to be thoughtful and sustainable in the long-term.  Therefore, our goal is to help with the mid-long term recovery of Nepal by helping to build critical infrastructure like roads, bridges and schools in affected areas.

Rest assured that we will provide detailed information about where every single dollar will go. We deeply value transparency and accountability, and therefore will be vigilant about sharing how much we have raised and what those dollars will be building on our Facebook page here:

We invite you to be a part of this rebuilding of Nepal!

Our sincerest thanks,
Rebuild Nepal Team

ABOUT US:

We are two Nepali students at the full-time MBA program at Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University), leading Project Rebuild Nepal. Project Rebuild Nepal is focused on mid-long term relief efforts in Nepal. We are partnering with Janata Bank, one of the class A commercial banks in Nepal to raise and disburse funds for critical infrastructure(like schools, clinics, and homes) in targeted affected areas. An independent committee on the ground will assess the critical needs and identify impactful projects.
