Dear RBS alumni and friends,
Some of the alumni of Rato Bangala School have started an earthquake relief and recovery fund for Nepal. The fund will focus on providing relief and recovery support in areas that were hit hardest by the earthquake.
This is a very trying time for many Nepalis. Tents, food, medicines, water are in short supply. Thousand of lives have been lost, many more are injured and the numbers are rising. Our fundraising drive will support local relief and recovery projects. We will ensure complete transparency and make sure that we do our best to identify and support efforts that have the maximum impact on communities that are the most vulnerable and in most need. We are grateful for the support of the Rato Bangala administration, and will work closely with the Rato Bangala team.
Please circulate this to your contacts and networks around the world to help raise funds, and help out if you can. Every amount you put in, however small, will count. Sending materials to Nepal is a logistical nightmare at the moment and in the long run doesn't really help the local economy. Sending funds and resources to trusted partners and organisations is the best way to help for many of you living outside Nepal. Help out please, and share widely.
