help save brave boys leg

On sunday 5th april 2015 myself and my partner assisted traffic police and the rspca with a 4 year old whippet who we at first believed had been hit by a car. His leg was very badly broken and he had some serious cuts on his body. We traveled in convoy with a lady from the rspca with this boy in our car as he wouldnt fit in the dog box the rspca had.  During this whole time all he wanted was fusses and love, when we arrived in manchester he was quickly put onto an iv drip for pain relief and fluids.  Under closer inspection by the vet it was discovered that his injuries where not consistent with being hit by a car but from being THROWN from a car at 50mph, the vet also discovered bite wounds from another dog on him, the poor baby had been used as a bait dog and thrown from a car! I can not describe my anger when the vet reported this to us.  We recieved a phone call 2 days later to tell us that he had under gone emergency surgury due to a collapsed lung but was now stable.  This little boy has been threw hell and back and is still fighting, me and my partner are now in a position where his leg is the main priority, we have offered to give him a forever home but the surgury on his leg is going to cost around £3000 we have some savings we can use, but would greatly appriciate some help this little boy has shown love to everyone who has met him despite what he has endured. He really is a little fighter i have tried pdsa, dogs trust and various other charities to see if they can help with no joy :( the rspca have not got the funds or the facilities to operate on his leg and have been very direct with us that if the surgury can not be done this little fighter will be put to sleep as you can imagine i am now pretty desprate to save this loving little boy.  thanks for reading and any donations will be a true gift xxxxxx
