Hi! I’m Rayya Sunshine, and my team, The Walks of Sunshine, are the newbies of GirlTrek.
GirlTrek's Mission: Pioneer a health movement for African-American women and girls grounded in civil rights history and principles through walking campaigns, community leadership, and health advocacy.
Girl Trek's Goal: 1 million walkers by 2018
My goal: to help them reach their goal!
I am raising funds to help encourage my team to complete the 30 day challenge set by GirlTrek!
My team of 10 ladies has committed to walking in all weather everyday for 30 days! Lake-effect snow? Freezing Rain? Doesn't bother us.
The sun is still shining to us!
Each member to complete their 30 day challenge wins a gift of GirlTrek starter package. This gear includes a t-shirt, a pack of buttons, socks, and a water bottle.
Our group consist of women and girls from many walks of life. We have mothers, students, women who work the third shift, grandmothers, artists, and
volunteers from various charities/ nonprofit organizations.
This project will help me reward my team for their accomplishments and their rededication to a healthy life.
