Dear all,
I am writing this with a deep heart and I hope everyone will have the patience to read it. A friend, Mohsin Adia, 21 years old, was a video game loving, always smiling, resilient and confident teenager. Despite being born with primary lymphedema, and consequently, suffering of extreme swelling in his feet, he was never deteriorated to laugh or be around for his friends and family. Unfortunately, the smile diminished in 2013, when Moshin suffered from severe stomach pain, later diagnosed as stage 4 cancer. To those unfamiliar with the stages of cancer, stage 4 is the absolute worst, indicating the spread of cancer to other organs, and having the least possibility of survival. Despite the news, Moshin engaged his resiliency for one last attempt, as he wanted to go back to University and be there for his friends and family. As such, he underwent chemotherapy to shrink and eliminate the cancer. Those who underwent and survived cancer can attest to you the gruesome fatigue your body endures as a result of chemotherapy. I remember seeing him when he was off the chemotherapy, he reminded me of his early years; he whooped his older brother, Suhel, and I when playing Super Smash Brothers, and had a good laugh about it. But yet, sadness loomed in the room. How do you act normal when your friend beside you is undergoing something so terrible? I could not fathom it, and still cannot…
This week, Mohsin was given 2-3 weeks to live and is currently in the Hospital suffering immensely…
I understand that money does not have the power to heal Moshin. What I am asking is for help to his family with any expenses that they might have. Any amount would be very appreciated by the family.
No parent should burry their child, but yet, sadly, we face other realities.
I am hoping to raise $5000 for the Adia family. The family is currently unaware of what we are doing for them. Again your help is very appreciated, thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
