Drupal Connect announced Friday that it is spearheading a massive nationwide fundraising campaign to help efforts to combat recent legislative measures that discriminate against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, and questioning individuals.
John Florez, President and CEO of Drupal Connect, said the company has been concerned by measures such as Indiana’s controversial “religious freedom” law, which provides a legal defense for individuals and business owners based on religious beliefs while discriminating against LGBTQ people.
“Our team here at Drupal Connect is proud to take a stand for LGBTQ rights,” Florez said. “We support LGBTQ equality, and denounce any legislation that supports discriminatory practices. We are outraged at individuals who are profiting from the hate caused by this type of legislation, and we’d like to counter this negativity by raising funds that will go directly to support various LGBTQ organizations throughout the country.”
