Living Grace Home Damage Repair

Donation protected
Living Grace Home  is a home for pregnant young women ages 14-22 who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless as a result of their pregnancy.  We have two residences at this time, one for our pregnant young ladies, and one for girls that have had their child but are not ready to move out on their own.  These young women may stay at Living Grace Home until their child is two years old, as they work on getting a job or completing their education.

On March 14, the home with our residents and babies had a massive sewage backup.  All of the flooring on the main floor of the house, the entire bathroom, doors, baseboards, and drywall up to 2 feet from the floor had to be removed and need to be replaced, as they came into contact with sewage water.  As a result of this disaster, the girls and babies in this house are in a state of flux.  They are not on the street, but we are unable to take new pregnant residents at our original home as a result. In just the past week alone, we have had to turn away 8 pregnant girls looking for a place to stay.

The total damage to our residence was $35,000, while insurance only covers $10,000, leaving $25,000 in additional funds to be raised.  With an organization that only has a $300,000 operating budget a year, this is a sizable portion of our annual budget.   Your donation allows our program to get back up to running 100%, enabling us to help more homeless pregnant teens.
